Truffle’s 5th CD, “That’s Right” (2005) is the latest body of work from a band in their 19th year of playing together. This new collection of songs penned and arranged by all the members is by far their best and most mature recorded music to date. They combine quality songwriting and strong, memorable melodies in a tasty sounding package with interesting production ideas. The eclectic mix of styles from song to song is pulled together in a cohesive fashion by Truffle’s trademark sound. “That’s Right” was recorded in late 2004, and 2005 at Thundering Sky Studio in South Berwick, ME with engineer Chris Magruder. The beautiful package and design is a product of Dino Pioli at Dinographics, with the original wood cut cover by local Seacoast, NH artist, Aaron Drew.”The new CD “That’s Right” is vintage Truffle all the way. It reflects a band that has not only established a strong identity, but shows continued growth and maturity” ~ Wire Magazine |

1. Thirsty (Chase) |
The first Truffle album since 1994′s November/Sony release, “Nervous Laughter”. “Out Loud” was recorded live at the end of 1999, at The Stone Church, Press Room, and Nashua Garden all in Truffle’s home state of New Hampshire. Mixed with Chris Magruder at Thundering Sky. This is truly what the band sounds like today. An eclectic mix of new songs, tunes never before recorded, Truffle classics, a few tasty covers and some reworked Dave Gerard solo tunes. This is a fun collection (listen to what they did to Led Zeppelin’s “Thank You”) with every tune picked for a reason. You get to hear Ned sing and also there’s the fine added percussion of Truffle’s long running part-time member Pete Kowalski. This rockin’ disc has a extensive booklet to match.“Truffle can’t be pigeonholed into one style. They have a distinct flavor like Mexican food does, but there is a lot of variety on the menu. Out Loud is a well crafted menu designed to please different tastes. Truffle is musically tight, their lyrics are inspired and they do not rely on gimmicks for appeal. Instead, Truffle offers songs with the listener in mind-songs that have been masterfully crafted and arranged” ~ Showcase/Fosters Dailey Democrat |

![]() Nervous Laughter (New, sealed CD’s and Cassettes with “J” card recovered from distributors, thanks to Rock Bottom!!) Purchase it HERE with PayPal. Tracks include… 1994 Sony November Records |
Released in 1994, Nervous Laughter is the label debut for Truffle on November/Sony records. This disc was recorded at Well Spring Studio in Mass. with Huck Bennet at the controls. Certain cuts were mixed by legendary producer (Allman Brothers) Johnny Sandlin. This disc is a bit heavier and was recorded during Truffle’s relentless, national touring years. The album shows that, with intense performances, and strong, improvisational songwriting. The first track “Trouble” received quite a bit of airplay nationally, and the disc went on to sell quite well. Following a long period of unavailability, Nervous Laughter is now here for you to enjoy thanks to some deep digging from Rock Bottom Records. |

This compilation was recorded in 1995 and released in 1996. Truffle added two tracks during the beginning period of it’s acoustic trio shows after Brian Dionne (Truffle’s original drummer) left the band. Truffle wanted to contribute to Volume two as they were on the road during the recording of Volume one, so they recorded the then brand new “Out Of Touch” with guest vocalist Danine Chirse, and the only recording of “Revina” with Ned Chase on vocals. The disc is a fine collection of the seacoast areas strong artist base; some who are still with us today and some who were kickin’ it back then, and have dissipated. The music lives on in this collection, a snap shot in time. |
